Common questions

Is the Free plan really free?

Yes — no credit card, no trial timer, no catch. Keeper: Basic gives you 2 bins and up to 10 items per bin, forever. You also get 5 lifetime AI scans so you can try that feature before committing.

It's also the plan you return to if you ever cancel a paid subscription. Anything you catalogued while on a paid plan stays fully visible — you just won't be able to add more content until you upgrade again. Think of it as a permanent home base: always there, nothing expires. When you're ready to do more, upgrading takes about 30 seconds.

What happens when I hit my bin limit?

The app will let you know when you've reached your limit. Your existing bins and everything in them stay exactly as they are — visit binkeeper.us anytime to upgrade your account.

What are the item limits per bin?

Keeper: Basic bins hold up to 10 items each. Keeper: Everyday bumps that to 40. Keeper: Pro removes the limit entirely. On Basic and Everyday, you can also expand any individual bin by 50 items for $0.99 — stackable, per bin, one-time.

How does AI Item ID work?

Point your camera at an item and the app identifies it automatically — no typing required. Keeper: Basic gets 5 lifetime scans to try the feature. Keeper: Everyday gets 10 per calendar month. Keeper: Pro gets 50 per calendar month. Monthly scans reset on the 1st and don't carry over — use them or lose them. Keeper: Move includes 150 scans for your 30-day window; they're sized to be generous so you don't have to think about them. Any unused Move scans expire with the window. Your remaining count is always visible in the app.

How do AI scans differ across plans?

Every plan includes AI — the difference is how many scans per month. Keeper: Basic gets 5 lifetime scans as a taste of the feature. Keeper: Everyday gets 10/month — enough for regular use. Keeper: Pro gets 50/month for heavy cataloguing. Keeper: Move comes with 150 scans purpose-built for a single move.

What is Keeper: Move?

Keeper: Move is a $30 one-time purchase that gives you full Pro-level access for 30 days — unlimited bins, unlimited items, and 150 AI scans. It's designed for moving: catalog every box before the truck arrives, then find anything on the other end. After 30 days your account returns to Keeper: Basic, but all your bins and items are preserved. You can purchase it again for a future move.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes — upgrade or downgrade any time. Annual plans save you 10% on Keeper: Everyday and 15% on Keeper: Pro. If you downgrade, your existing bins and items are preserved in read-only mode until you're within your new plan's limits.

What does household sharing mean?

Keeper: Everyday and Keeper: Pro let you invite anyone in your household. They can view, add, and edit bins and items — one shared system for the whole house.

Can I cancel any time?

Absolutely. Cancel from your account settings with no penalties, no hoops, no retention emails. You'll keep full access until the end of your current billing period.

After that, your account returns to Keeper: Basic. If you catalogued more than Basic allows — say you built 20 bins on Keeper: Everyday — you won't be able to add new bins or items until you upgrade again. But everything you already have stays fully visible. Your data doesn't disappear; the app just stops letting you add more until you're ready to upgrade again.

The way we think about it: pay when you're actively adding things, step back when you're not. We'd rather you cancel and come back later than feel locked in.
