These are the rules for using BinKeeper. We've written them in plain language because we think that's the decent thing to do.
Effective date: April 2026Short version: use BinKeeper for its intended purpose, don't abuse it, and treat other users with respect. We'll keep the service running, be honest about changes, and give you control over your data. If something goes wrong, our liability is limited. Questions? Email us.
BinKeeper is a mobile app and web service that helps you organize the physical contents of bins and boxes using QR codes, photos, and AI. It is operated by Santtro LLC ("we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account or using BinKeeper — the app, binkeeperapp.com, or any related service — you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
If you're using BinKeeper on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these terms.
You need an account to use BinKeeper. You must provide a valid email address and create a password. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. We'll treat any action taken under your account as your action.
You must be at least 13 years old to use BinKeeper. If you're under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts.
Keep your account information accurate and up to date, especially your email address — that's how we reach you about important account and billing matters.
Accounts are for individual use. You may not create accounts on behalf of other people without their knowledge, or create multiple accounts to circumvent limits or restrictions.
BinKeeper offers the following plans:
Prices may change. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before changing the price of a plan you're currently subscribed to.
All payments are processed by Stripe. Your payment details go directly to Stripe — we never see or store your credit card number. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You can cancel anytime from your account settings.
You can cancel a subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you won't be charged again, but you'll continue to have access until the period ends. We do not prorate partial months.
Keeper: Move and item add-ons are one-time purchases and do not auto-renew.
See our Refund Policy for full details. The short version: we offer refunds within 7 days of a charge if the service didn't work as described and we can't fix it. One-time purchases are non-refundable after use.
You may use BinKeeper to organize your own physical belongings, share bins with people you choose, make bins public for legitimate community or group purposes, and access your data at any time.
You may not:
If you make a bin public, its contents are visible to anyone with the QR code — no account required. You are solely responsible for what you choose to make public. Don't put private, sensitive, or personal information in a public bin.
Everything you add to BinKeeper — bin names, item names, descriptions, photos, tags — belongs to you. We don't claim ownership of your content.
By storing content in BinKeeper, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process that content for the sole purpose of providing you with the service. We don't use your content to train AI models or for advertising.
You're responsible for the content you add to BinKeeper. Don't upload content that is illegal, infringes on someone else's rights, or that you don't have permission to share.
BinKeeper's AI Scanning feature uses Anthropic's Claude AI to identify items from photos. When you use this feature, your photo is sent to Anthropic's servers for processing. The result — a suggested item name, description, and tags — is returned to your account.
AI identification is a suggestion, not a guarantee. You always confirm or edit what the AI finds before it's saved. We're not responsible for misidentifications — always review the result before accepting it.
AI scan limits apply per plan. For Keeper: Everyday and Keeper: Pro, unused scans reset on the 1st of each month — they do not carry over. For Keeper: Move, scans are a one-time allotment for your 30-day window; any unused scans expire when the window closes. There is no next period to roll into, and the 150-scan limit is intentionally generous so you don't need to ration them during a move.
When you share a bin with another user, they can view, add, and edit items in that bin. You control who has access and can remove users at any time. You are responsible for who you invite to your bins — we don't verify the identity of users you add.
If a shared user causes damage or misuses access you granted, that is between you and that user. We are not responsible for the actions of users you've given bin access to.
We aim to keep BinKeeper available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances outside our control.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features of BinKeeper with reasonable notice. If we ever shut down the service entirely, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and a way to export your data.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our systems. This action is permanent — we cannot recover a deleted account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abuse or fraud, or are inactive for an extended period (we'll give notice before deleting inactive accounts). If we terminate your account for a reason other than a terms violation, we'll refund any unused prepaid subscription time.
BinKeeper is provided "as is." We make no warranties — express or implied — about reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the service will be error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Santtro LLC's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of BinKeeper is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $30, whichever is greater.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost data, lost profits, or service interruptions — even if we were advised of the possibility.
Some jurisdictions don't allow limitations on implied warranties or liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of BinKeeper that is not resolved through arbitration (see Section 11A) will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
Before filing any legal claim, please contact us at admin@binkeeperapp.com. We'll make a genuine effort to resolve issues informally first.
Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to file a lawsuit in court.
You and Santtro LLC agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms of Service or the use of BinKeeper — including disputes about the validity, enforceability, or scope of this arbitration agreement — will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, not in court. This applies to all claims, whether based in contract, tort, statute, fraud, misrepresentation, or any other legal theory.
Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if the claim qualifies. Either party may also seek emergency injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm pending arbitration.
Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will take place in Massachusetts, or by video/phone if you prefer. The arbitrator's decision will be final and binding, and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
You and Santtro LLC each waive the right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration. All claims must be brought on an individual basis only. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims or preside over any form of representative proceeding.
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing admin@binkeeperapp.com within 30 days of first agreeing to these terms, with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out." If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the courts described in Section 11.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes — meaning changes that affect your rights or obligations — we'll notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of BinKeeper after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Minor clarifications or corrections may be made without notice. The current version of these terms is always available at binkeeper.us/terms.html.
